Our thinking and mindsets have come a long way. Thoughts are ever-changing and can be manipulated​. Art also acts as a medium for artists to express their thoughts. The flux in thinking is what we are going to explore first.

This painting shows a group of women walking down a street at night carrying parcels and babies. The lowly lit streets and the large amounts of baggage they are carrying seem to create a solemn mood and show great difficulty in the mere act of walking, presumably, back home to rest... Yoko Ono, 1969

Ono calls attention to the plight of women worldwide. She advocated for peace towards women by exposing the harm done to them and solicits contributions, asking women to send her photos of their eyes as “testaments of harm” that have been done to them solely for being female.... Painting to be Stepped On

Yoko Ono, 1960/1961

In July 1961, George Maciunas, an architect, designer, and co-director of the AG Gallery offered Ono her first solo show. Ono went to an Army surplus shop and bought a rolled canvas. After going back to her loft, she began to cut and stretch the canvas.
